He married Neila Hunter and they had three children together. Neila and his daughter were killed in a car accident, but he remarried Jill Jacobs and had another daughter. He was elected to senate 1972 and was elected seven more times.

This site basically gave the same information as my first site. But it added Chief Guardian of the Economy. The president does not control the economy but he is expected to help it run smoothly.

The president passes laws that the congress creates. Although he himself cannot write a bill. He can propose it and have a member of congress submit it for him. It also talked about the duties that my first site talked about.

British Government and US Government
One difference between the US government and the British government is that we, the United States, have a written constitution. The UK does not, they have many various acts of parliament which can be changed easily. Another is that the UK's president does not have as much power as our president. Their prime minister is much like out president.
A similarity is that the UK government also has two houses. And they have one person that is mainly in charge, who the people elect.
Nick Clegg gave a speech in Luton pretaining to the train bombing.. He said how the UK is an open, confident society. THey are confident in themselves, their community, and in their values, and he wants to keep it that way. The town has remained true to its original vision of ‘sticking together’, working across age, religious and ethnic boundaries to promote a tolerant, strong, vibrant community. They need to stay true to what they believe.
Britian Government is tryint to talk up their weather in order to boost tourism. They think it is a key element to get the economy to grow and get Britian back on its feet. the government will try to make entry visa applications quicker, simpler and more convenient. The government also calls on airlines and airport operators to work on reducing the need for long check-ins. They hope to bring over 4 million extra oversea visitors in the next 4 years.
